Flying Horse Farm LLC operates at Manor Hill Farm in the heart of Elkridge-Harford foxhunting country. The beautiful 250 acre farm is owned and maintained by John Baker and his father, Dan. John is the third generation to own this lovely property. The farm offers horses a wonderful environment to live and train. The rolling hills serve to create strong hind ends (the motor) in each horse. The farm offers large turnout fields for the horses to enjoy themselves and act like horses. The barn provides very large, well ventilated, matted stalls with front and back doors so the horses are able to hang their heads in the fresh air. The neighboring farms allow horses to train X-C as well, adding variety to their daily lives. A kind land owner allows the use of an indoor track during bad weather. The farm is only 30 minutes from Pimlico and 50 minutes from Laurel Park which allows easy access to the track for published works and gate schooling. We are also within 2 hours from 6 major Mid-Atlantic racetracks and 3 hours from Colonial Downs (where we have a string of stalls in the summer) giving our horses the opportunity to run at whichever track meets their needs. We are also in the heart of Maryland steeplechasing and only 2 hours from most National Steeplechase Association race meets.
